Edward J. Eyring, Managing Director

Edward J. Eyring, Managing Director-Capital Markets joined Quaker State in December 2011. Ed has an extensive background as an investment banker and in credit analysis of fixed income securities and as an insurance rating analyst. After graduating with a Bachelor's Degree from St. Francis University in Pennsylvania in 1972 and an MBA from the Wharton School in 1976, he began his career as a municipal banker at Merrill Lynch in New York, initiating and negotiating financing principally for electric utility borrowers in the public domestic tax-exempt market. He put together similar negotiated financing packages for traditional municipal borrowers such as hospitals, school districts, single and multi-family housing entities, and sports facilities at Merrill Lynch and Dean Witter (now Morgan Stanley).

Credit quality being one of Ed's strong interests, in 1990 he became a full-time credit analyst focusing on the high yield sector of municipal and corporate borrowers at Smith Barney Mutual Funds, the National Association of Insurance Commissioners and Bergen Capital Corp. At A.M. Best Ed rated many life - health insurance companies based on analysis of their financial position, business profile and operating performance.

Ed's background has further enabled Quaker State to enhance our capabilities and stature with more sophisticated investors.
